📜 Terms and Conditions of Use


Effective from: 1st October 2025

1. General Conditions
1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to all members, visitors, and users of Polmont Sports Centre
facilities.
1.2 By entering the premises, and booking activities, , you agree to abide by these Terms and
Conditions.
1.3 Polmont Sport Centre reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Updates will be displayed on-site and on our website.

2. Access
2.1 Users must check in at reception on arrival.
2.4 Polmont Sport Centre reserves the right to refuse admission for serious or repeated breaches of
these Terms.

3. Health and Safety
3.1 Users must comply with all health and safety rules, signage, and volunteer instructions.
3.2 Use of facilities is at your own risk. If you have a medical condition, consult your doctor before
participating in physical activity.
3.3 Appropriate sportswear and footwear must be worn at all times.
3.4 Alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicants are strictly prohibited. Users suspected of being under the
influence may be refused entry.
3.5 Personal belongings are the responsibility of the user. Lockers are provided but Polmont Sports
Centre accepts no liability for loss or damage to property.

4. Use of Facilities
4.1 Facilities must be used for their intended purpose only.
4.2 Users must treat equipment and gyms with care and report damage or faults immediately.
4.3 Bookings must be made in advance where required. No-shows or late cancellations may be
charged.
4.4 Time limits apply (e.g. gym equipment, courts, sessions) and must be respected.
4.5 Food and drink (except water) may not be consumed in activity areas unless stated by Polmont
Sports Centre Community Group (e.g. birthday parties ,events)

5 Children and Young People
5.1 Children under 5 years must be supervised by a responsible adult unless attending a supervised
session or class.
5.2 Parents/guardians remain responsible for their children at all times.
5.3 Volunteers are not responsible for unsupervised children outside of organised activities.

7. Behaviour
7.1 All users must show respect for volunteers other members, and the facilities.
7.2 Abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in
suspension or permanent exclusion.
7.3 Misuse of facilities or deliberate damage will result in liability for repair costs.

8. Data Protection
8.1 Personal information will be handled in accordance with the UK General Data Protection
Regulation (UK GDPR)and the Data Protection Act 2018.
8.2 Information will only be used for the purposes of managing bookings and health and safety
compliance.

9. Liability
9.1 Polmont Sports Centre will not be liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from use of the
facilities unless caused by our negligence or breach of statutory duty.
9.2 Groups are advised to arrange their own public liability insurance and have relevant PVG’s and
first aid qualifications..

10. Complaints
10.1 Complaints should be made in writing to the Trustees
10.2 We will acknowledge complaints within 10 working days and aim to respond within 20
working days.

11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of
Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
